This is from my Lone Star Diary podcast. It’s a true story about a young woman on the Texas frontier who was forced into a life or death situation after her father was injured. There are many such stories of the difficulties experienced by women pioneers throughout history – this one was shared with me by an acquaintance and it is a factual rendition from the archives of his family history.
